NCCBPE is a  501 (c) (3),non-profit organization established in 1970 by a group of    concerned engineers seeking to form ties between the many Black  scientists in Northern California. The logo and background of this website is a set of gear wheels turning as they are automatically oiled.  This signifies that this site is the "Real McCoy".   It's the " Real McCoy" is an old expression which is commonly used to indicate that something is real, very efficient, and reliable. It originated with manufacturers who used the phrase to describe their  machines which featured an automatic lubricator patented by the black inventor Elijah McCoy.
