Global Village Concepts issues a Global Village seal of approval which certifies that the business adheres to the principles cited below and make it eligible for assistance in business development. Assistance includes identification of international suppliers, workers, personal contacts, information on processes to follow to establish export/import of goods or provide service in the countries of choice.

Principles which must be met to qualify for certification include:

1. Business concept must be designed to improve the quality of life of the international participants

2. The business concept must not exploit anyone

3. The business concept must be determined to be environmentally friendly or the impact acceptable to the parties affected meeting US standards

4. The business concept must promote uplifting and pushing up-sustainable development

5. The business concept must be carried out consistent using universally recognized standard fair business practices

Examples of 2 Concepts that Qualify for Certification

Example 1

Concept: Using solar technology as a tool for sustainable development in Akwasiho Village in Ghana (an existing project - Northern California Council of Black Professional Engineers/Nkosunene of Akwasiho);

Project objectives are to educate, provide jobs, promote manufacturing, and introduce environmental friendly energy sources by:

1. Assisting woman’s cooperative in establishing a cottage industry centered around solar technology

2. Design, manufacture, market and sell Solar Cookers

3. Assemble solar products

4. Establish a Solar Living Village Center to train technologists/users and exhibit solar technology
