The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

- finds documents containing 'Global' or 'Village'

- same as above

- finds documents containing both 'Global' and 'Village'
- Global not Village
- finds documents containing 'Global' but not 'Village'
- (Global not Village) and Africa
