Dear Counselor,
The Northern California Council of Black Professional Engineers (NCCBPE) will sponsor an education and engineering field trip for minority students to the University of California at Davis, CA on April 14, 2006. NCCBPE cordially invites you and students of your school to participate.
The field trip includes seminars, presentations by UCD's Black Engineers Association (BEA), students and NCCBPE members, games and science demonstrations, a guided tour of UCD campus, review of science displays, and students lunches.
Your support and assistance is needed for the following:
* Conduct student survey to identify students
interested in going on the field trip.
* Serve as student coordinator and point-of-contact with NCCBPE field trip
coordinator.
* Distribute and collect student survey forms and parent’s permission slips.
* Coordinate with students and NCCBPE coordinator as to how many students
signed up for the trip by April 10, 2007.
* Monitor and supervise students assembling at and loading on/off buses.
* Provide students chaperon to UC Davis campus.
